Handprints

This is the first page of Ethan’s third scrapbook.  It is for November 28, 2010.  He turned five months old that day and is on page 121 of his scrapbooks.  This is one well documented and scrapbooked baby!

First Crop

I spent the day at my very first crop.  It took me three days to decide what to take and pack it all up.

All the cartridges I took ended up in a different bag.

It was a great day.  I hung out with my friend Amy Jo all day and I got 13 pages done.  I used the time to work on my wedding book.  I figure it was five years ago, I should probably do it.  A crop is the perfect time to work on it since I am using a limited color palette.  I don’t want to stop working on Ethan’s stuff but I want to work on my wedding book.  A crop was the perfect solution.

Here are my pages.  I still need to finish up one page.

The day was so much fun.  I can’t wait to find the time to do it again.

This two page layout is pictures of Ethan holding a bottle the first few times and drinking from a glass.

The background paper is pre-sewn.  The words are from A Child’s Year Cricut cartridge.

Snowflake box

At the September Girl’s Night at Memory Bound, we were given a pencil box and asked to decorate it for the October Girl’s Night.  I have been staring at the box for a month with no idea what to do.  At first I wanted to make a tooth fairy box for Ethan but it is way to big for that.  It started as a plain white box.

Plain box

I wrapped the outside of the box with snowflake paper and put coordinating dot paper on the top.

I lined the box with coordinating striped paper.

Finally, I cut out snowflakes using the A Child’s Year Cricut cartridge.  I covered the big one in really fine glitter.  I attached the small ones with my xyron and the big one using a bunch of pop dots.

Twinkle Twinkle

Today I made a page for a picture of Ethan playing his guitar.  I saw an email for the Martha Stewart Punch All Over The Page punches.  There is one called starry sky that I thought would be perfect for this page.  Ethan and and I went and bought it.  When I got home, I did this layout.  I learned a lot about using the punch.  I made the title from the Nursery Rhymes Cricut cartridge.  It turned out pretty good.
